Trokar red dot award: product design 2000

Trocars are instruments used in minimally invasive surgery. Two short incisions in the abdomen are, for example, all that is required to insert the trocar sleeve with trocar arbor. The arbor is then removed, and lenses and surgical instruments inserted. Trocars are available with various tube diameters. An innovative seal provided for a considerably reduction in size with this model. In contrast to disposable instruments, it can also be cleaned, sterilised and reused.
